Writer's Block: American Censorship Day!

NO! This is a terrible idea. It's one thing to punish people who pirate movies and TV shows, but it's a whole nother thing to punish someone for videotaping themselves singing a song and then post it on YouTube for people to enjoy. Or punishing someone for posting some song lyrics they like as their FaceBook status. Or posting a picture of a celebrity they like on Tumblr. It's not right to punish people who are obviously making no money off of something. It's just not right. And that bill is so vague that if it passes, that could happen. There'd be no more Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Live Journal, or even message boards.

Writer's Block: Time after time

I read/have read or watched all my favorite books & movies over at the very least twice. If i enjoy it I'll continue to enjoy it time & time again. And I have no limit on how many times I can read or watch my favorite books & movies. They're just as good the 100th time, or the 1000th time as they were the very first. :D

Writer's Block: I'm the taxman, yeah!

Individual income taxe is completely useless. It's difficult and time consuming and really doesn't seem to be helping pay for all the crazy things politicians come up with. What we really need is a National Sales Tax. Say, around 15%-20%, maybe even 25%. I be willing to pay 25% sales tax on everything and I think it would bolster our national coffers quickly and efficiently. As the tax system is now only certain people are paying the lion's share in. With a National Sales Tax the bigest spenders would pay the most taxes. There would be no possibility of 'tax shelters' and hiding your money so you pay less taxes. Also EVERYBODY would pay taxes if there was a National Sales Tax, citizens, non-citizens, terrorists, tourists, EVERYBODY. And the people who bought the most, would pay the most. It's a good idea.

Writer's Block: Take me to your leader

Well, I doubt they would understand english, but if through some miracle they could, I'd show them history books and let them come to their own conclusions about humanity. But I would LOVE to go back and visit their world. To quote Star Trek: "Beam me up Scotty, there is no intelligent life down here."

Yeah of course. There is no possible way, in the entire universe, that this could be the only planet that life evolved on. And I think it's incredibly arrogant to thnk that we are the only intelligent life out there.
I don't think that we should fear them though, even if they are more technologicially advanced than we are. I really don't think that we are important enough to be worthy of the attentions of any more advanced race. Be it benign or hostile.
The only thing that annoys the crap out of me is that scientists are so damn stuck on trying to find carbon based life, like us. As possible as that kind of life may be, there are too many other different kinds of planets out there that life could have evolved on. Aside from the fact that even on our own planet in the most inhospitiable places, for us, life still finds a way.

Money, Bible, External Hard drive, Pets, Weapons.
Money: For obvious reasons.
Bible: In times of trouble it can help guide one's soul.
External HDD: It has all my artwork on it and that is important to me.
Pets: Again for obvious reasons, I can't exactly let them die.
Weapons: In situations of catastrophy people tend to revert back to their most base selves, and I want to be able to protect my stuff. However little I may have.
